About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Backend Python Developer to design, develop, and scale backend systems that power their products and platforms. This role requires a strong foundation in database engineering, particularly with Azure SQL, focusing on query performance, optimization, and database design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend systems using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and specifications.
- Optimize database queries and ensure high performance of database systems.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python and experience with backend frameworks.
- Strong expertise in Azure SQL and database design principles.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in backend development with a focus on Python and database engineering.
