About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Manager – Application Security to lead and enhance their Application Security, AI Security, API Security, Mobile Security, and Secure Code (SAST) programs. This leadership role is pivotal in driving secure engineering practices throughout the organization, ensuring security is integrated into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Application Security team to implement and manage security initiatives.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for application development.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into the development process.
- Conduct security assessments and audits of applications and APIs.
- Oversee the implementation of secure coding practices and provide training to developers.
- Monitor emerging security threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- Manage incident response for security breaches related to applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience in application security, with a strong understanding of secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST).
- Experience with security tools for static and dynamic application security testing.
- Strong knowledge of API security and mobile application security.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in application security or a related field, with a focus on managerial responsibilities.
