About this role
The team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced PHP Engineer to join their backend development team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned expert in PHP and related frameworks, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications and APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex backend systems and APIs using PHP and relevant frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Lead complex projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and coding standards.
- Contribute to the technical vision and product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in PHP and experience with frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
- Proficient in database management systems, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of professional experience in PHP development.
