About this role
The team is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role will be pivotal in defining, building, and evolving the analytics data layer across the end-to-end analytics stack. The Lead Data Engineer will collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, visualization, product, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and governed Business Intelligence solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the architecture for the analytics data layer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and build data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics initiatives.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and architecture.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers in best practices and methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in data engineering and analytics, with a focus on building data solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- 7-11 years of relevant experience in data engineering or analytics roles.
