About this role
The team is seeking a Field Quality Manager to oversee quality management and provide technical support for substation and transmission line projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Field Quality Plan (FQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for various projects.
- Prepare, review, and approve contractors’ method statements and work procedures.
- Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), checklists, and formats in accordance with technical specifications, codes, and standards.
- Maintain comprehensive QA/QC records including inspection reports, Requests for Information (RFIs), and checklists.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards related to substations and transmission lines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in quality management and technical support in the field of electrical engineering or related disciplines.
