The team is seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with a focus on performance tuning, security, troubleshooting, migration, and managing high-availability environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
- Implement and manage database security measures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.
- Oversee database migration processes and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application database needs.
- Monitor database performance and implement improvements as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA with 4+ years in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of database management and administration principles.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
- Familiarity with high-availability database configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
