About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Backend SOAP and API Tester to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing with a focus on SOAP UI and API testing. This role involves designing, developing, and executing both automated and manual API test cases for SOAP and RESTful web services to ensure their functionality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated and manual test cases for API testing.
- Utilize tools such as SOAP UI and Postman for comprehensive API testing, including functional, regression, and negative testing.
- Collaborate closely with development and business teams in an Agile environment to define test requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality software by identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.
- Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to enhance testing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Over 6 years of testing experience, specifically in SOAP UI and API testing.
- Proficient in designing and executing test cases for SOAP and RESTful web services.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative working.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with other testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in API and SOAP testing.
