About this role
The team is seeking a VP of DevOps to lead their technology initiatives and drive operational excellence. This role is pivotal in shaping the DevOps culture and practices across the organization, ensuring seamless integration between development and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement DevOps strategies that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline development processes and improve software delivery timelines.
- Ensure best practices in automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code are followed.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance DevOps capabilities.
- Drive initiatives for security, compliance, and risk management within the DevOps framework.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior DevOps role, with a strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and agile practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience required: 8-10 years in DevOps or related fields.
