About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer - Data Steward to join their team. The ideal candidate will lead the enforcement of data governance policies, ensuring data integrity, quality, accuracy, reliability, and KPI fitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of data governance policies across the organization.
- Document and deploy consistent enterprise-wide data definitions, processes, and ownership.
- Collaborate with business teams to identify and define KPIs, collecting necessary business and technical metadata.
- Document data flows, including the establishment of data quality rules and data profiling.
- Create and document Data Governance related procedures, user guides, and business data process maps.
- Analyze data and requirements for data ingestion or migration.
- Deliver data requirements by following data process maps and performing necessary data transformations.
- Coordinate and monitor data quality issues, working closely with business partners and data sources to remediate exceptions.
- Conduct engaging training sessions for other Data Governance team members as required.
- Maintain and update data dictionaries and metadata repositories, ensuring accurate documentation of data lineage.
- Assess data assets for quality, completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Data Governance and Data Lineage.
- Proficiency in data quality assessment and management.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with data documentation tools and methodologies.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering and data stewardship roles.
