The team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Engineer Development Specialist to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, secure, and efficient financial systems. You will be part of a global Application Development, Support, and Engineering Team, which serves as the technical backbone of their digital strategy, combining innovative software development with rigorous financial security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend systems using Java and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the team remains competitive.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Java backend development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years in backend development, preferably in the financial services sector.
