About this role
We are looking for an innovative and experienced Technology Head – Backend to lead and actively contribute to our engineering efforts. In this role, you will be a hands-on technical leader, writing and reviewing code alongside the team while also driving architecture decisions. You will ensure our cloud-native microservices platform is scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the backend development team and oversee all technical aspects of the projects.
- Design and implement robust backend architectures using Firebase and Google Cloud.
- Write and review high-quality code, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver on technical requirements.
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal operation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in backend development with a focus on cloud-native applications.
- Strong proficiency in Firebase, Google Cloud, and microservices architecture.
- Experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in backend development and leadership roles.
