About this role
The team is seeking a Technical Support Staff Engineer specializing in Networking to join their Hardware Platform Solutions team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in a rapidly growing business environment.
As an individual contributor, you will report to the Customer Experience (CX) organization. You will be empowered to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues faced by customers, primarily focusing on networking, including Switching and Network Security, as well as storage and server software with an emphasis on SONiC-related incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose customer technical issues related to networking, storage, and server software.
- Provide expert support for SONiC and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Document technical issues and solutions to enhance the knowledge base.
- Assist in developing and implementing best practices for network security and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in technical support or network engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, including Switching and Network Security.
- Experience with SONiC and related network operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
