About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to guide a team of Data Engineers in building and maintaining data pipelines using DBT Core and Amazon Redshift, with Airflow orchestration as a plus. This role sits between individual contributors and Solution Managers, responsible for technical direction, code quality, and hands-on problem-solving across the data engineering pod.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, ensuring best practices in data engineering.
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with Solution Managers to align technical direction with business objectives.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality and performance.
- Utilize strong SQL skills to guide design decisions and optimize data models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the data engineering team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data engineering with a strong focus on DBT Core and Amazon Redshift.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow is a plus.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with at least 2 years in a technical lead role.
