About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Tech Lead - Databricks to design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions within their cloud-based data platform. This role requires extensive knowledge of Databricks (Azure/AWS), data engineering, and a deep understanding of data architecture principles, with the ability to drive strategy, best practices, and hands-on implementation for high-performance data processing and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using Databricks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize data workflows and processing pipelines to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in data engineering and architecture principles.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Databricks on Azure or AWS.
- Strong background in data engineering and data architecture.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in data engineering or related fields.
