About this role
The team is seeking a skilled System Administrator specializing in PIM to join their team in Thane. This role is essential for maintaining and optimizing system performance while providing informal guidance to new team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage LVM, including Volume Groups and Logical Volumes.
- Administer JFS and JFS2 File Systems using Logical Volume Manager.
- Oversee device management and ensure efficient operation.
- Configure and manage LPAR and WPAR environments.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting techniques.
- Manage virtualization and oversee virtual machines.
- Install, maintain, configure/reconfigure, and support both production and non-production hosted system instances.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with LVM, JFS, and JFS2 File Systems.
- Proficient in device management and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide informal guidance to team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in system administration, particularly in PIM environments.
