About this role
The team is seeking a skilled System Administrator with expertise in Linux to manage and maintain their server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various Linux operating systems and a passion for securing and optimizing server performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure Linux servers, including CentOS, Redhat, and Ubuntu.
- Secure server configurations for services such as NFS, Samba, and httpd.
- Write and implement system-level firewall rules and manage SELinux settings.
- Develop shell scripts for automation and utilize text processing commands for system management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application servers, particularly Tomcat.
- Document all procedures and configurations for future reference.
- Be available to work in any shift, at any time, and from any location.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and server management.
- Proficiency in securing server configurations and writing firewall rules.
- Strong skills in shell scripting and text processing commands.
- Familiarity with application server management, specifically Tomcat.
- Preferable certifications in Linux and virtualization technologies.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in system administration, particularly with Linux environments.
