About this role

The team is seeking a Staff Software Quality Engineer for Product Development to join their innovative team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions that impact genomic technology and health equity worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve software quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience in software quality engineering or a related field, with a focus on product development.
