The team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) to join their innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, architecture, and development of complex software systems that meet high standards of quality, performance, and scalability. You will own one or more applications and contribute to the development of a robust roadmap for engineering operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the design and development of backend applications.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization of software systems.
- Participate in project planning and ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define software requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
- Stay updated with new technologies and share knowledge with the team.
- Assist in hiring top talent for the engineering team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent computer science fundamentals.
- 8+ years of experience in backend web technologies.
- At least 6 years of experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, SQL/NOSQL.
- Experience building and maintaining reliable distributed web applications.
- Strong understanding of concurrency and multithreading.
- Knowledge of design principles and quality processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive and curious mindset, with a passion for experimentation.
Experience: 8-10 years in backend software development.
