About this role
The team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Android to join their Membership POS team in India. This role is pivotal in developing a platform that manages subscriptions and memberships while tracking the usage of member benefits for customers and guests within the team ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and fix bugs, and optimize application performance.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains innovative.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Android development using Java and Kotlin.
- Proficiency in Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in software development, specifically in Android applications.
