About this role
The team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to be the technical lead for feature development in a dynamic team of 5-10 engineers. In this role, you will influence the technical direction of the overall engineering organization and play a critical part in delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decompose business objectives into valuable, incrementally releasable user features.
- Accurately estimate the effort required to complete each feature.
- Contribute code to feature development efforts, demonstrating efficient design, delivery, and testing patterns.
- Mentor and guide team members on best practices and technical skills.
- Continuously seek ways to improve team processes and outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with frameworks and tools relevant to feature development and testing.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence engineering decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in software engineering or related field, with a focus on leading teams and projects.
