About this role
The team is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer specializing in Embedded Testing to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded software. You will perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing on various embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for embedded software.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.
- Automate test cases using scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Utilize debugging and hardware tools including JTAG programmers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Analyze and understand hardware schematics to aid in debugging and test development.
- Document test results, generate reports, and ensure proper tracking of issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in embedded software testing.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python or Bash.
- Strong understanding of hardware debugging tools and techniques.
- Experience with test automation frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
