About this role
The team is seeking a Staff Engineer 1/2 - Backend to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving architectural design, scalability, and performance improvements across various platforms. You will also mentor and develop junior engineers into technical leaders while leading tech stack decisions and tool adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in reviews and architecture discussions for robust software delivery.
- Ensure scalability, quality, and performance of all engineering outputs.
- Introduce and institutionalize best practices for code quality, CI/CD practices, and deployment optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement long-term technology vision.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in backend technologies and frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in backend engineering roles.
