The team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer I to join their team focused on building a custom Android-based operating system for enterprises. In this role, you will be instrumental in the development, customization, and enhancement of the Esper Foundation, which is optimized for dedicated Android devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software solutions for the Esper Foundation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and reliability.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the platform remains competitive.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in software development, particularly with Android and AOSP.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Kotlin.
- Familiarity with Android SDK, NDK, and related frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Android development.
