About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Principal Site Reliability Engineer to lead efforts in observability and stability across their hybrid SaaS stack, which includes cloud, edge, and physical network devices. This role is crucial for ensuring high availability and performance of services through effective monitoring and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end observability by implementing logs, metrics, and alerts.
- Take ownership of the alerting strategy to ensure actionable, high-fidelity alerts while minimizing noise.
- Implement intelligent automation to reduce operational toil and improve real-time visibility.
- Design, build, and manage automation for self-healing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in operational processes and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in site reliability engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of observability tools and practices.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages.
- Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years in a relevant technical role, with a focus on site reliability, operations, or infrastructure management.
