About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join their Global Database team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Oracle databases to ensure high availability and performance. You will work closely with various teams to support database-related projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies as necessary.
- Perform database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Oracle Database administration, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Oracle Database administration.
