About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently delivering Java-based backend features and database integrations, while also contributing to design, performance optimization, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Java-based backend features.
- Integrate and manage database systems, specifically Oracle SQL and other SQL databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Participate in design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Optimize existing code and implement best practices for performance improvements.
- Maintain a basic understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript and React.js.
- Support application architecture initiatives, particularly in service networking overlay.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Java 8 and experience with database management.
- Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
- Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, React.js, and Node.js is a plus.
- Experience with Python is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in Java development and backend integration.
