About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a contract-to-hire position that is fully remote. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecting and implementing high-performance backend systems, with a focus on leveraging the Java 17 ecosystem to build resilient, low-latency applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable backend solutions using Java 17.
- Lead end-to-end service level integrations and implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- BE/BTech degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in backend development.
- Mastery of Java 17, including modern features like Virtual Threads, Pattern Matching, and Records.
- Advanced proficiency in the Spring Framework.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
