About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data platforms and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Python, SQL, and PySpark/Spark, along with a deep understanding of modern data engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust data pipelines to support data ingestion and processing.
- Optimize existing data workflows for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for data storage and processing.
- Work with technologies including BigQuery, Lakehouse architecture, and Delta Lake.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data processing frameworks like PySpark/Spark.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions and architectures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
