The team is seeking a talented and experienced Data Policy Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing and implementing policies and standards that span the entire data lifecycle management, from data classification to developing security controls and ensuring retention and archival of data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data standards and controls are effectively implemented.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data governance standards.
- Design and implement data classification frameworks and security controls.
- Monitor and report on data governance metrics and performance indicators.
- Provide training and support to staff on data governance policies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or data policy development.
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and data security principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in data governance or related fields.
