About this role
The team is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, analyzing, designing, implementing, and administering database solutions. You will recommend best practices for improvements to current operational processes and ensure the stability and performance of SQL Server database servers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain SQL Server database servers.
- Troubleshoot operational problems and resolve issues efficiently.
- Administer proactive daily checks to ensure optimal database performance.
- Respond to monitoring alerts and take necessary actions.
- Communicate status and plan activities effectively with customers and team members.
- Participate in the team's rotational shift pattern and on-call coverage rotation plan.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with SQL Server database administration.
- Proficient in database design, implementation, and optimization.
- Knowledge of best practices for database security and performance tuning.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in SQL Server database administration.
