About this role
The team is seeking a Specialist System Engineer – DRE with a strong background in Oracle Database Administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale database environments, particularly with Oracle Exadata. This role is based in Bangalore and requires a commitment to work from the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage Oracle Exadata environments, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard for optimal database performance.
- Conduct RMAN backup and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity.
- Oversee Oracle database patching, upgrades, and migrations as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production environments and resolve issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Oracle Database Administration, with a focus on large-scale environments.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Exadata and associated technologies.
- Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
- Experience with RMAN for backup and recovery processes.
- Ability to perform database patching and upgrades effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Oracle DBA roles.
