About this role
The team is seeking a Software Security Engineer II to join their dynamic Software Security Group (SSG) within the R&D Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build, grow, and make a significant impact by supporting the delivery of secure products and services for cloud-native and on-premises applications across various industries worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and enhance the security posture of software applications.
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and security code reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement security best practices and guidelines for software development.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on secure coding practices.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to ensure proactive defense mechanisms.
- Assist in incident response and investigation of security breaches as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in software security engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
