About this role
The team is seeking a Software Principal Engineer to join their FileSystems and DataServices team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience to create innovative solutions that enhance and evolve current technologies. You will play a critical role in re-architecting OneFS to provide value to customers in the rapidly changing landscape of GenAI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver solutions to distributed computing challenges for scale-out OneFS file systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in existing systems.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software engineering, with a focus on distributed systems and file systems.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms, including AWS or Azure.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in software development and engineering.
