The team, a leader in cloud infrastructure and data center networking, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join their Platform Group in the VMware Cloud Foundation division. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge solutions that power private cloud software and interact with major customers to shape the future of an industry-leading on-prem platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing software engineering team.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the quality and performance of the applications through rigorous testing and code reviews.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and drive product improvements.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software engineering and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience: 5-8 years in software engineering and team management.
