About this role
The team is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team and focus on building and scaling the Open Data Platform (ODP). This enterprise-grade, open-source platform supports cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. You will tackle deep technology challenges, including distributed systems and observability, to assist global customers in modernizing their platforms without vendor lock-in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the Open Data Platform to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
- Address complex technical challenges related to distributed systems and data management.
- Contribute to the open-source community and influence the ecosystem.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in software development, particularly in Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Proficiency in distributed systems and cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with observability tools and practices.
- Experience with open-source software development and community engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
