As a Software Engineer III, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative approaches to build solutions and address technical problems.
- Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
- Extensive experience in Java, platform engineering, AWS, systems design, solution design, and database management.
- Experience with production support and development of microservices, focusing on key performance metrics and observability.
- Knowledge of secure development life cycle and complete service ownership in a DevOps model, including CI/CD tooling.
- Proficiency in Java 17+, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience in QA/Test automation, writing automated unit tests, and using various testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills, with a bias for action, curiosity, and a positive mindset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience leading a team of around 5 members.
