About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join the team’s dynamic team. This independent contributor role is pivotal to the team, offering an opportunity to own business-critical components and services that power key use cases for the team customers. You will have high ownership and significant business impact while executing on a future vision that will be embraced by users.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the design, development, and optimization of features and services.
  • Solve challenging technical problems with minimal guidance.
  • Develop, maintain, and advocate for scalable, maintainable, and resilient source code.
  • Actively utilize AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development, from scaffolding features and writing tests to reviewing code and debugging.
  • Leverage AI tools to iterate quickly, reduce boilerplate, and deliver production-ready code at a higher velocity.
  • Evaluate and critically review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and adherence to team standards prior to merging.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues efficiently, providing well-reasoned solutions.

What You Need

  • 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and shipping software products and/or n-tier services.
  • Proficiency in any object-oriented language, preferably Python.
  • Proficiency in front-end frameworks, preferably React, and a language such as Typescript.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) as a core part of your development workflow.
  • Comfort working in an AI-augmented engineering environment where speed of delivery and quality are both expected to be high.
  • Ability to write precise, effective prompts and provide context to AI tools to obtain useful, production-quality outputs.
  • Experience in working with micro-services.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

A Big Plus

  • Experience with Airflow.
  • Working experience in Kubernetes and/or Docker.
  • Exposure to data modeling in RDBMS.
