The team is seeking a Software Engineer II with a strong background in Java and backend development to join their Product Development & Operations (PDO) organization. In this role, you will be part of the InsuranceNow product development team in Bangalore, where you will contribute to delivering secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for the global property and casualty insurance industry. This position emphasizes operational excellence and transformative innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs in the system.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Java and backend development.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience:
