About this role
The team is seeking a Software Engineer 2 with a strong background in Java to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently delivering Java-based backend features and database integrations, while actively contributing to design, performance optimization, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Java-based backend features.
- Integrate and manage database systems, primarily using Oracle SQL and other SQL databases.
- Write comprehensive Java server test cases to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with team members on design and architecture decisions.
- Optimize application performance and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a basic understanding of front-end technologies, including JavaScript and React.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java 8 and experience with SQL databases.
- Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
- Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in writing unit tests and server-side testing.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development is a plus.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in software development, specifically in Java and backend systems.
