About this role
The team is seeking a Software Development Manager to join the Appstore Developer Experience Team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the developer experience for Amazon Fire TV and Fire Tablets Appstore, enabling millions of customers to discover, purchase, and enjoy digital content. You will lead the effort to rebuild and innovate new APIs for third-party developers to manage their applications and games effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new APIs that improve the developer experience.
- Oversee the development of a web interface and mobile app utilized by thousands of third-party developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Drive best practices in software development and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software development management, particularly in API development.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
- Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with mobile app development and web technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
