The team is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 to join their Data Lake Engineering team. This role is essential in building and maintaining a robust data infrastructure that supports innovative solutions and enhances user experiences across their global commerce platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize data pipelines and workflows for efficiency and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality and integrity.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services related to data storage and processing.
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in software development, particularly in data engineering or related fields.
