About this role

The team is seeking a Software Developer specializing in Modelling, Groom, and World Building. This role involves working with high-end character, vehicle, and prop creation, as well as detailed world-building using industry-standard tools like Maya, ZBrush, and Houdini. You will collaborate closely with the Creature and Surfacing teams to finalize assets and prepare them for animation and simulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Python and C++ tools and plugins that enhance DCC applications.
  • Collaborate with artists to improve workflows and asset management.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new features for asset development.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to asset creation and integration.
  • Ensure high-quality standards are met across all projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in software development using Python and C++.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation software, particularly Maya, ZBrush, and Houdini.
  • Strong understanding of asset creation pipelines and workflows in a production environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in software development for visual effects or animation.
