About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Software Backend Engineer with a focus on Java to join their dynamic team. This role encompasses core backend development as well as front-end responsibilities, particularly within Java/J2EE-based systems, and includes UI development and relational database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain features using Java / J2EE technologies.
- Build and maintain user interface components using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and database interactions.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and adhere to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, product, and other engineering teams.
- Debug and resolve production and pre-production issues as needed.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and documentation.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java / J2EE application development with 3-5 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
