About this role
The team is seeking a skilled SOC Engineer to join their team. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux systems, particularly with Red Hat Certification (RHCE), and expertise in log analysis. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded knowledge of various technical domains and be a proactive team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed log analysis and troubleshooting on Linux systems.
- Manage and optimize clustering, application servers (Java/Tomcat), and database storage solutions.
- Ensure network security and performance by understanding SSL, DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, and load balancing concepts.
- Collaborate effectively with a globally distributed team to enhance security measures.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Linux, preferably with Red Hat Certification (RHCE).
- Proficiency in log analysis and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with clustering, application servers, and database storage.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and security concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in a SOC or related engineering role.
