About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Engineer for their SOC Detection and Response team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the security posture of the team operations by identifying and responding to cybersecurity threats effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detection strategies for various security threats.
- Analyze security incidents and provide timely responses to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to improve incident response processes.
- Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify vulnerabilities.
- Create and maintain documentation related to security incidents and response procedures.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in cybersecurity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and frameworks.
- Experience with SIEM tools and incident response methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with network security technologies and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on SOC operations and incident response.
