About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a focus on Observability and Azure Infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems through effective observability practices and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain an observability platform, implementing distributed tracing, metrics, and logging using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo.
- Ensure complete instrumentation of .NET Core applications for end-to-end visibility.
- Implement telemetry pipelines for application logs, performance metrics, and traces.
- Develop and manage Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.
- Create actionable, noise-free alerts using Prometheus Alertmanager and Azure Monitor.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance application reliability and performance.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements based on findings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Proficiency in observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo.
- Solid understanding of .NET Core application development and instrumentation.
- Experience in creating and managing SLIs, SLOs, and alerting systems.
- Familiarity with incident management and post-mortem processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field, with a focus on observability and cloud infrastructure.
