About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding how to build and operate high-scale systems, providing product-wide architectural guidance, and making impactful changes to enhance system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust software solutions in Java for distributed and enterprise-scale environments.
- Provide architectural guidance across products and ensure best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve cloud incidents.
- Write detailed Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud infrastructure services on AWS or Azure and integrate them into existing systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Java coding within highly distributed environments.
- Proven experience in dealing with on-call responsibilities and managing cloud incidents.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure services, particularly AWS and Azure.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in software development and system architecture.
