About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in backend development to join their dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable backend solutions for financial applications using modern technologies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Java Webservices and components based on detailed design documents.
- Build efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code following industry best practices.
- Utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure unit-test coverage meets quality requirements.
- Develop integration tests to ensure coding adheres to specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing backend systems for performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java and experience with Java Webservices.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Experience with TDD and writing unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with modern frameworks and tools relevant to backend development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant software engineering experience, particularly in backend development.
