About this role

The team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of the design and development of complex, enterprise-scale Java applications. In this role, you will lead the technical direction for various modules or subsystems while remaining actively involved in the implementation process. You will also support modernization initiatives, including the migration from legacy or monolithic systems to modern architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the hands-on design and development of Java applications.
  • Lead technical direction for modules or subsystems.
  • Actively participate in implementation tasks.
  • Support modernization initiatives and system migrations.
  • Act as a technical mentor and role model for engineers across teams.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and maintainability expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Java development and enterprise-scale applications.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with modern software architectures and migration strategies.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning, security best practices, and maintainability standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java applications.
