About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and documenting complex software applications. You will work closely with geographically distributed team members and ensure the quality of deliverables through design and code reviews, as well as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex software applications.
- Conduct thorough testing and documentation of software solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members across different locations.
- Ensure quality through design/code reviews and adherence to best practices.
- Escalate urgent issues to Engineering Management promptly.
- Provide peer advisement to Software and Associate Software Engineers through code/design reviews and peer programming efforts.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure specifications are met satisfactorily.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in software development with proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Familiarity with TDD and BDD practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment.
- Experience in conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to escalate issues effectively.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
